Resources to keep you entertained while you lie on the sofa and save lives:
The first trailer that was shown at last night's screening was for Jennifer Abod's "The Passionate Pursuits of Angela Bowen."
You can watch the full film on Vimeo here: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/angelabowen
The second trailer was for "Ruthie & Connie: Every Room in the House Lesbian Grandmothers." It is available on Kanopy. Kanopy.com is a streaming service somewhat like Netflix but is free and accessible for many people who have a public library card or are connected to a college or university. I get access through the Berkeley Public Library and can watch 10 free movies per month. Check with your local library. They have many recent films and do a better than most job of compensating filmmakers.
Rafiki, the final trailer shown last night, is available through Amazon Prime and Vudu.
In addition, Women Make Movies is holding a virtual film festival.
Check it out here: https://mailchi.mp/wmm.com/whm-virtual-film-fest
Finally, don't forget PBS. They have an amazing assortment of films you might enjoy such as "Rise Up; Songs of the Women's Movement," "Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise," and many, many more. You can find it here: https://www.pbs.org/video/
